A woman with a camera, telling YOUR story
Hello and welcome to Story Of Your Day. Let me introduce myself.
My name is Emma Wilson and I’m a BBC “Pioneer” filmmaker with a passion for all things beautiful.
Based in Switzerland and the UK, I am the chosen videographer for couples who don’t just want their wedding day filmed but their story told.
You can get to know more about me and my philosophy better in this short film.
My purpose is to help others bring out the best in themselves.
With this in mind, Story Of Your Day was born. Offering Beautiful. Timeless. Cinematic Films.
I have 20 years of experience in filmmaking and storytelling at the BBC, aka Emma Massey, and I am trained in audio visual language by world-renowned cinematographer Alejandro Calore.
I offer three film services for couples getting married, families wanting to capture special moments in time and small businesses needing film biographies for their websites.

Story Of Your Day is Award-Winning, in the Top 5 Wedding Videographers in the North East at the 2015 Wedding Industry Awards, and winner at the North Of England Wedding Awards for Outstanding Customer Service in the Videographer category.
Story Of Your Day is award-winning and is the recommended wedding film company for many reputable venues in the UK, including Goldsborough Hall and Alnwick Castle in Yorkshire, as well destination wedding venues, such as Chateau St Julien, Chateau Rigaud and Chateau La Roche Courbon in France, Villa Antiche Mura in Sorrento and Suvretta house in St Moritz, Switzerland
With an office in Wengen, Switzerland (as well as in Yorkshire, UK), I am ideally situated for filming destination weddings abroad. I’ll usually come to the destination a few days ahead of the wedding to film any preparation and the build up to the event, which is often a magical and special time too.
I do not charge a premium for any extra days involved in UK or destination weddings that I feel need more time to capture your story, it’s all part of my service.
My films have been featured on many wedding blogs, such as French Wedding Style, Magnolia Rouge and the utterly gorgeous Style Me Pretty.
I am a member of the Female Creatives Association and the Wedding & Event Videographers Association International and I also run a private Facebook group for UK Female Videographers, organising mentoring and workshops to develop skills in the industry among women.
My camera team are hand-picked from some of the best in the industry to achieve the perfect creative team.
