Friends Become Lovers and Marry in a Classical Yorkshire Wedding.

It was love at first sight for Samantha and Thomas when they met at a high-school party at the tender age of 15.

The gorgeous couple dated for two years but the inevitable pressures of youth and university saw them go their separate ways for the next 10 years.

But they were never as happy as when they were together.

Samantha and Thomas explain: “We had the same friendship group at home, so would bump into each other a few times a year, but often with new partners, and we would barely even look at each other or say a word to each as unknown to us we still had feelings for each other.”

“Our friends and family always wanted us to get back together and would often try to bring us back together. At one occasion in early 2016 we were both single and the seed was eventually planted, we arranged to meet for a coffee to chat about everything, ended up kissing and… everything spiralled from then.”

A house, two cats and an amazingly romantic proposal later (where Thomas presented a box of memories with everything from when they were 15, including a ticket stub from their first cinema trip)…. Samantha and Thomas tied the knot in a wonderful wedding at Goldsborough Hall – a stunning Jacobean stately home located in a North Yorkshire village.

“We are from the North West, but decided as Yorkshire was our new home that we would like to get married here.

We fell in love with Goldsborough Hall immediately, and the rolling countryside is breathtaking. We loved that we could get married in the quaint Church next door and have the reception so close.”
