“I fell for you twice really. Once in the jungle… a leveller.”
“For your essence, your gentleness, your generosity and your sense of humour, your insightfulness and occasional mischievousness. “
“And again in the real world, with no beard and a dazzling smile and a hand on the small
of my back.”
Sophie and Jan-Willems were married at St Peter’s Church in Cassington, Oxfordshire.
The couple met in the Belize Jungle and fell in love…
Above is an extract from Sophie’s journal that she wrote when she returned from the jungle.
The wedding had a wonderfully bohemian style – think midsummer eve, ephemeral, nature,
sunshiney, vintage and homemade.
The reception was held in a tipi in Aunt’s back garden, just two minutes walk from the church.
The couple – Sophie dazzling in a Preloved Claire Pettibone dress – wanted the countryside surroundings and nature of the day captured on film and enjoyed a bagpiper walking
ahead of them from the church to the tipi.
Here’s their story ….
