Working as a journalist and filmmaker at the BBC for over twenty years has taught me a really powerful lesson – no two stories are the same. I draw on that knowledge and experience to ensure that each and every one of my clients has a wedding film unlike any other.
There’s something quite amazing about experiencing and feeling a story and then retelling it in a unique film that brings the story back to life. As my clients, you also share the same ethos and passion.

Team Emma will discreetly capture moments of the day as they unfold naturally and bring them back to life in an authentic, timeless and cinematic-styled film. For destination weddings, we usually arrive on location a day ahead of the wedding itself so we can gather footage of the surrounding area, venue and of course get to know you and your story, with a pre-wedding shoot.

I understand that while some of my clients are based in Austria, others are planning a destination wedding in Austria and I know that looking for suppliers ‘on location’ can be quite daunting. Story Of Your Day is multi-award-winning and the recommended wedding film company for many reputable planners, venues and other suppliers throughout Austria and I also have a great network of talented high-end wedding photographers throughout the country.
Being an accomplished wedding filmmaker means that I love capturing all love stories and treat all weddings with the same passion and zeal – whether it’s an intimate wedding or a super exclusive, luxury affair.
AUSTRIAN WEDDING DESTINATIONS
Austria is a country with so many options when it comes to finding your perfect destination wedding location.
As a wedding videographer and as Creative Director at Story Of Your Day, what I love about Austria is that the destinations are so diverse and that gives you so much choice.
Next year I’ll be filming an amazing elopement in The Dolomites and that’s just about as remote as it gets, so perfect for adventure weddings as well as intimate elopements. You also can’t ignore the Austrian Alps if you’re into adventure and fun and I highly recommend the venue of Gerry-Rae and Nick’s wedding. They were married in the Rathaus in Zell Am Zee and then skied to their reception venue The AreitLounge.
For a completely different perspective, Austria has the most amazing cities and stunning wedding film locations … Vienna and Salzberg being my favourite. In Vienna, there are the stunning venues like Palais Schönburg, Schloss Belvedere and of course if you’re looking for something really spectacular then Hofburg Palace, as featured above.
